Can I use PicFinder to create and sell art?
Yes, our Basic+ plan allows commercial use and you can generate art to sell directly as digital prints or for print-on-demand. You can learn more about creating sellable art here.
How is PicFinder different from other image generation tools?
If feels like genAI is everywhere but the tools you've most likely heard of are Midjourney or Dall-E. PicFinder uses similar technologies under the hood, but the unique way we make magic happen is by making image generation faster, and by keeping the experience a lot simpler. We were inspired by how easy it is to search images on the web, and we wanted to create a service that makes it just as easy to generate images.
Does PicFinder search for images or create them?
The overwhelming majority of the images you will see are generated from scratch. However, when prompts happen to be very similar, we may also show some previously generated images as they would be highly relevant to the prompt.
Is PicFinder free to use?
PicFinder is a freemium service. We have a starter tier that first allows you to use the service freely without creating an account. This cap varies by location. Once it is reached, users are asked to register for a free account which includes a daily allowance of images, or upgrade to a paid plan to access infinite image generation.
What is unique about PicFinder?
We want to make it as easy as possible to generate beautiful images and get inspired. Most image generation services create 4 images per prompt, and then require a retry. Each try might also take between a few seconds and a minute, and getting to the right image can take a lot of retries. As a result, it could take a lot of time to create a story board, create character concepts, or just find the exact image you need.
Instead of forcing you to wait every 4 images, PicFinder allows you to infinitely scroll through images for each prompt. You can also click on a result, and then infinitely scroll through variations of this result, or change the prompt using this result as a seed. You can also seed images with an example image you have, add a prompt and, again, infinitely scroll through results.
All this is possible because PicFinder is magically fast. Images are generated in realtime as you scroll. The experience of image or idea search is therefore a lot more rewarding and seamless, and puts your ideas and creativity at the centre.
Does PicFinder have an API?
