πŸ‘ Sensitive content filter
Updated over a week ago

If you've experimented with PicFinder, you might have noticed that occasionally the sensitive content is triggered. Here is some helpful information about this filter.

The filter is necessary for keeping PicFinder discoverable

GenerativeAI can be used for many things. But in order to keep PicFinder available to a broad user base it's important to keep the service family-friendly. Search engines for instance may restrict results that they assume contain sensitive or adult content. Also, as we do not have a lot of info about our users when they reach our site it's important to provide reasonable content curation.

How does the filter work?

The filter is triggered by an algorithm which scans the images and determines if they are considered sensitive. As a result it's not perfect, and may trigger even in situations where the content is not actually sensitive. For instance, in the image above, there is nothing inherently sensitive about the prompt, so the filter was triggered due to a false-positive result. As PicFinder image generation is so quick and hundreds of images can be easily generated, we believe this tradeoff is worth making for maintaining the website discoverable and accessible to a large pool of users.

Can I get the filter removed?

Yes, it's now possible to remove the content filter by upgrading to the All access content plan. You must be over 18, or the appropriate age required by your local laws & regulations, to access this plan.
